Armani Suits Are A Heavenly Delight

You do not have to be a fashion-fundi to know the name Giorgio Armani, or that Armani suits are top-class suits which are designed by one of fashion’s all-time greats. Armani suits have been setting the trend since the end of the 1970s when he designed what was to become known as the infamous “wedge-shaped power suit,” which had huge padded shoulders and Armani Suitsvery wide lapels.

The name “Armani”, is synonymous with elegance, sophistication, and class. The reputation which comes along with this name is nothing to be sniffed at. To get a reputation like that you have to earn it. And how did this design house earn this reputation? With glamorous and stylish designs combined with impeccable tailoring in their clothing. It is this combination of impressive style and cut that makes this brand name such a powerhouse. I think that when people think of Armani suits they tend to think of men’s suits, but the brand name designs for both men and women. In fact, their women’s collection of suits is quite breathtaking.

The Design Of Armani Suits

As any fashionista will tell you, simplicity is the core element of elegance. Because their design style is all about elegance, the style and cut of their suits are generally very simple. The beauty of this type of design culture where the cut and the styles of the suits are kept very simple, is that the suits are timeless. This means that Armani suits don’t date and become unfashionable as would happen with more contemporary designs. So keeping in line with this concept of simplicity and timelessness, this design house won’t churn out designs which are ornate or which have colors which are gaudy or overdone. The suits tend to be very simple, very neat, and they have very clean or structured lines. And the shades that the suits come in will generally be muted and neutral.

  • Just because the suits are classic doesn’t mean that they are boring though. You’ll generally find them only with one or two buttons on the jacket. But the pants are cut in different shapes to flatter different body shapes.
  • While Armani suits remain pretty standard throughout time, there are definitely beautiful variations added to them.
  • From the vintage 80s brown pant suit with perfect tapered baggy trousers and a wonderful unusually textured fabric, to the rare pale rose pink Le Collezioni Bandau Pant Suit which came with a  bandau strapless short crop chiffon silk print top, a back zip and pants with tapered legs and two side front pockets.
  • Armani suits are always designed with one though in mind and that is that they must be flattering to the female figure, and are chic and very feminine.

More On The Styles

Armani suits have graced the bodies of the rich and famous for many years, including dressing Grace Jones for the cover of her 1981 Nightclubbing albumin which the jacket of the pant suit was very broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted. This jacket made its reappearance on the boardwalk in Armani’s new Resort collection this year.

  • When it comes to womens suits, there is no better choice than armani suits. Whether you choose a skirt suit, a dress suit, or a pant suit, you are bound to be transformed into a chic and stylish effigy.
  • Don’t be fooled by fake garments with fraudulent name tags stitched on the inside. The tailoring on genuine armani suits is unmistakable perfection. The impressive attention to detail that you’ll notice on the suit is a testament to the quality of the skilled workmanship.
  • The utmost care and craftsmanship goes into every item of clothing produced by the design house. The stitches are finished off to perfection, the seams are neatly tucked and everything is exquisitely lined.Armani Suits
  • With such cut and tailoring you are assured of the most impeccable fit. When you wear armani suits, it won’t sag where it shouldn’t, or be too tight in the wrong places, or be ill fitting in any way.

Try one on and you will notice that it fits like a glove, almost as though it were custom made to fit your body. This is the beauty of the high quality workmanship. It is simply unrivalled.

Armani’s Collections

The Resort Collection

Armani’s Resort Collection which was released in June 2011 had a real Oriental feeling to it, although the official theme was apparently Urbanity. His women’s suits and dresses showed mandarin collars, frog closings and shades of the continent in the colours of jade, lapis lazuli and celadon. From pant suits to skirt suits, the Armani suits on show were designed to exude a subtle opulence, with satin, lacquered leather and sheer translucent fabrics shimmering away.

The Boudoir Collection

Armani’s Boudoir collection for Fall 2011 showed, amongst other lines, slightly cropped pants which were matched with long, loose embellished blazers to form the basis of the 2011 Armani suits for women this Fall. Emporio Armani sported a “film noir espionage” theme with lots of sleek lines and plenty of black throughout, including in the women’s suits.

The Spring Collection 2012

Armani’s Spring 2012 Collection revealed a plethora of silvery blues and greens and with soft and luxurious silk and satins in abundance. The new silhouette for Armani suits consists of a longer jacket sporting smaller shoulders in a distinctly Empire style which ends at the hips. The new shape of the pants of the Armani suits is a cut which has a slight kick to above a side-slit ankle. Some other contrasting styles were also offered, consisting of peplum tops with cropped trousers in combinations of mineral blue and grey which gives a combination feel which ranges between sharp and urban and soft and sensual. The final Armani suits which were unveiled were shorter trousers beneath crystal-encrusted evening dresses with very deep décolletés.
